3 months I lost 22 pounds and 16 inches
Throughout my entire life, I’ve struggled with my weight. Unfortunately, the past few years of my life were lost due to the amount of weight I gained. I was able to lose 25 pounds on my own, but eventually I hit a plateau. My brother was getting married in May 2011 and I wanted to change my appearance. His wedding was the motivation I needed to better myself.
I never enjoyed going to the gym, probably because I didn’t know how to work out effectively or it may have been the fact that I am overly self-conscience. Therefore, I had to find a small gym where I could get in and get out without the feeling of being stared at by everyone. But who was I kidding, would I really stick with it or was there something else I could do?
That is when I joined Snap Fitness in Yorktown, New York late February 2011 and signed on with their all-star trainer Judah Clarke. I was very apprehensive and nervous to work with a trainer. However, during our first session Judah made me feel comfortable with him (I stress the word him because I was still not comfortable with myself, I mean I wouldn’t even look in the mirrors at the gym). We had a lot of work to do to really transform my whole body image.
Working out with Judah is a special unique experience. He has a wealth of knowledge in nutrition and all aspects of the body. He assesses you on an individual basis and creates a beneficial workout for you. Judah constantly changes the workout sessions so your body doesn’t become accustomed to the same thing every day, which is key to seeing results. One of the best things about training with Judah is that he is always there to motivate and encourage you to achieve the goals you set forth for yourself.
Judah has finally made me begin to feel confident with myself (I even look in the mirror when I workout). He is a hard to come by trainer because he actually takes his job seriously. Judah truly wants to help everyone that walks into his gym, whether they are clients or not. He is professional at all times, but has become a life long friend. If you’re willing to work hard on a consistent basis and really listen then Judah Clarke is the right trainer/motivator for you. I mean in 3 months I lost 22 pounds and 16 inches and the best news is, I am still working with him to better myself for me (not for anyone else or for any event)!
